About

A dispatch office in Iselin, and drivers who know the docks

Chainlink Medical Couriers started in 2011 with two cars running specimens between physician offices in Middlesex County and a reference lab in Edison. The routes grew. The idea did not change: the item gets there in the window, in range, signed for, and somebody answers the phone if it does not.

How dispatch works

The office at 200 Middlesex Essex Turnpike, Iselin, NJ 08830 is staffed around the clock. Two dispatchers on days, one overnight, one on weekends, plus an on-call manager. They see every driver's position, every open run, and the traffic on Route 1, the Turnpike, and I-295.

When you call, the dispatcher who answers can quote, book, and assign. There is no ticket queue and no callback. Scheduled accounts get a named primary dispatcher with a direct extension.

What a driver actually does at handoff

Parks legally, or at the dock with security's say-so. Walks the item to the receiving desk, not the lobby. Reads the carrier temperature if it has one and says the number out loud. Finds the named receiver, or the person on shift at accessioning, and gets a signature on the device with their printed name.

If nobody is there, the driver calls dispatch before doing anything else. The item does not get left on a counter. That rule has no exceptions.

Who we work with

Hospital laboratories and blood banks. Reference and specialty labs. Long-term care and specialty pharmacies. Physician groups, urgent care, dialysis, and dental offices. Medical device distributors and their reps. Home health and DME suppliers. Research sites shipping clinical trial materials.

We do not publish client names or logos. Your compliance officer would not want us to, and neither would ours. References are available on request, by phone, from people who will pick up.

What we will not do

  • Combine a STAT run with another job to save a trip.
  • Leave a specimen, medication, or device with someone who cannot sign for it.
  • Repackage a specimen or open a primary container.
  • Quote a response time we cannot hit that day, in that traffic.
  • Use motorcycle, bicycle, or gig-app couriers for medical work.
  • Add a fuel surcharge or bridge toll that was not in the quote.
