How a stat run works

  1. 1

    You call dispatch

One number, answered by a person, 24 hours a day. Give the pickup, the drop, what it is, and when it has to be there.

  2. 2

    Driver assigned in minutes

Dispatch checks live driver positions and assigns the closest qualified driver. You get the driver's name and ETA by text or email.

  3. 3

    Direct run

No other pickups, no other drops. If traffic on the Turnpike or Route 1 changes the ETA, dispatch calls you before you have to call us.

  4. 4

    Signed, logged, done

Receiver signs, time and temperature are logged, and proof of delivery emails immediately. For blood bank and pathology, we hand to a named person only.

Response time by zone

Drivers are staged in Iselin, New Brunswick, Trenton, and Cherry Hill around the clock. Pickup inside Middlesex or Union County is typically 30 to 45 minutes from the call. Somerset, Mercer, Monmouth, and Essex run 45 to 75 minutes. Camden, Burlington, and Philadelphia are covered by South Jersey drivers with similar local response. Overnight response times are usually shorter, not longer.

What STAT means here

A STAT run is one driver, one job. The driver does not stop for another pickup, does not detour to a route, and does not wait for a second item to justify the trip. If you need two items from the same site, say so at booking and we will hold for them; otherwise the driver leaves with what is ready.

Hospital and blood bank work

Blood products between hospital blood banks are handled in validated coolers with temperature logged at both ends and a named receiver. Frozen section slides for intraoperative consults get a driver who waits at the pathology desk if a return read is needed.

Pricing

STAT is priced by zone and mileage band, flat, agreed before the driver moves. No waiting-time charges for the first 15 minutes at pickup. Account holders get zone rates on a sheet; walk-up callers get a firm quote on the phone.

STAT Medical Courier questions

How do I book a STAT run at night?

Call the same number. Overnight dispatch is staffed, not forwarded to a voicemail. A driver is assigned within minutes.

Will the driver make other stops?

No. STAT is one driver, one job, point to point. That is the whole product.

Can I get a quote before committing?

Yes. Dispatch quotes a flat rate on the phone before the run is dispatched. Account holders already have zone rates on file.

Do you carry blood products?

Yes, hospital to hospital and blood center to hospital, in validated coolers with temperature logs and a named receiver at the blood bank.
